Mount Isuskiza was the communal land of the town of Plentzia, and the wood needed for the shipbuilding industry was extracted from its forest and then transported downstream.
Nowadays it is a residential area with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. As well as by road, it can be reached going upstream by kayak or SUP. At high tide, you will be able take a break on the jetty next to the social club.
In the area of land that to this day is still public, we are working, in collaboration with the “Bihurtuz” association, in developing a botanical-historical park, following the script that our ancestors drew several centuries ago.

Any visit to Plentzia must include a walk through the narrow streets of its Old Quarter, which still preserves the charm typical of historical locations, despite the significant changes undergone over the last century.
It was built between 1991 and 1992 to replace the old bridge, whose foundations had been damaged as a result of the flood of August 1983.
A family-owned pharmacy founded in 1888 that is now also a museum. It boasts an exhibition that occupies the original spaces of the apothecary’s shop, and the former laboratory and back room.
