Old Town Hall
Known as Torreón, as the typology of the building reminds the tower house one.
This building is noteworthy for its ashlar stones and its semicircular arch doorway supporting a balcony. It is undoubtedly one of the most attractive features of the town’s historic architecture. There are two coats of arms (the Town’s and the Catholic Monarchs’) and an inscription over the entrance dated in 1562 in reference to the donor, Martín Pérez de Plasencia.
The building was used at different times as a courthouse, jail and post office.
