Asador Gurea is a cozy grill house near the Metro station. Its inner décor is a homage to our ancient seafaring history. It stands out in char-grilled fish and sardines are the crown jewel.
This grill house opened a few decades ago near the Astondo beach in Gorliz. After the building was demolished in 2019, the business moved to the current 18th century building near the estuary of Plentzia, which has been remodeled into a modern and welcoming restaurant. This is a temple to traditional grilled cuisine that masterfully cooks wild fish, seafood, top-quality steaks and other delicacies.
The Pauli grill house, in the old quarter of Plentzia, specialises in grilled seasonal meat and fish purchased to local fishermen from Plentzia and Armintza. Its home-made desserts are also a must.
Gurea is a traditional bar located in front of the footbridge. On sunny days it is a real pleasure to have an appetizer on the terrace facing the estuary.
